DO WHAT YOUR LOVE TELLS YOU TO DO
They need someone to tell them right from wrong.
you better break away, try to be yourself!
Don't leave your future to someone else!
Design the laws that gonna govern your fate,
you better watch yourself, it might be too late!
"Having reviewed your livejournal profile, I feel I can safely say - you are a FUCKING LUNATIC and I love you for it :x you're obviously the reincarnation of Oscar Wilde, except for all that heterosexuality stuff." - Rowan
"... the product of the diseased brain of a pervert and megalomaniac affected with thirst for human blood."
Welcome to the journal of The Right Reverend Sir Michael L. Foley! The Right Reverend Sir Michael L. Foley is a man of wealth and taste, in ways that neither Satan nor Mick Jagger could imagine. Descended directly from a noble lineage containing such persons as Fra Dolcino, ArchDruid William Price, Petronilla de Meath, famed Orientalist Sir Rowland Foley, Emperor Norton I, John Murray Spear, Edmund Curll, Benedetta Carlini and a host of other eccentrics, crackpots, regicides, freaks, drug addicts, heretics, dissidents, witches, lovers, buggers and thieves (ah, but they're cool people!), this aristocratic man of the world has managed to amass many titles; just a few are:
- Pope Puck XIV, Episcopal See of Sodom and Gomorrah
- The Right Reverend Sir Michael Foley, 16th Baron of Xternetsa, Prince of Merryland and Emperor of Pinsonia
- Count Michael of Edessaa and Guardian of the Image of Christ
- A Cat That Really Is Gone
- A Discredited Rosicrucian
- Knight of the Order of the Sacred Peacock
- BRITISH ISRAELITE of the HOLY BLOOD of KING DAVID
- His Most Noble Lord Michael the Infinite of Eschaton End
- Herald of Crowleymass
Your Humble Narrator likes many things. Some of his obsessions are:
Grecian mythology, Ovid, the Romantic poets, the Decadent poets, pre-Raphelite art, Victoriana, gothic literature (of the Monk, Valtrek, etc. variety, not Poppy Z. Brite or whatever) Biblical scholarship, the Ancient Near East, Paganism (both classical and reconstructionalism), Irish folklore and mythology, leprechaun hats and, of course, beautiful women.
Values eccentricity and a good flaunting of public morals from time-to-time.
Admires Abbie Hoffman, Sir Richard Burton, Sir Francis Dashwood, Screaming Lord Sutch, John Wilkes (not John Wilkes Booth! Different person) and Gomez Addams. Loves the Goddess Brigid and The Dagda.
Likes psych-folk, 60s and 70s pop, psychdelic and garage rock and celtic punk.
Politically left-libertarian and an enthusiastic supporter of the Guns and Dope Party.
I must warn you that I may write things that might offend you. I can only imagine the depth of a wound that some guy with a blog on the net can create. In my concern for your well-being, let me show a list of people who might be offended by what I have to say.
- Republicans
- Right-wing libertarians
- Christian fundamentalists
- Childfree types that find great wit and wisdom in terms like "crotchdroppling."
- Feminists who take themselves too seriously.
- Liberals who take themselves too seriously.
- Anybody else who takes themselves too seriously.
- Anybody who wishes to omit any part of the Bill of Rights, incl. the 2nd.
- Che fans, especially if you like him because you saw it on a RATM album cover or something similar. He was a thug, a murderer and a coward.
- Anyone who attacks, physically or verbally the disabled and the sickly.
- Homophobes, racists and similar forms of stupid.
- People who complain about "my tax dollars" going to "support" [insert group here], especially when [group] is generally a maligned minority just trying to get by.
Anything else? Feel free to hit me up on IM or e-mail or whatever. Love!
"I am so changeable, being everything by turns and nothing long - such a strange melange of good and evil. But there are two sentiments to which I am constant - a strong sense of liberty, and a detestation of cant, and neither is calculated to gain me friends." - Lord Byron
"Do what thy manhood bids thee do, from none but self expect applause; He noblest lives and noblest dies who makes and keeps his self-made laws. All other life is living death, a world where none but phantoms dwell. A breath, a wind, a sound, a voice, a tinkling of the camel-bell." - Sir Richard Burton
"Above us to-day hangs a danger never yet paralleled in history. We suppress the individual in more and more ways. We think in terms of the herd. War no longer kills soldiers; it kills all indiscriminately. Every new measure of the most democratic and autocratic governments is Communistic in essence. It is always restriction. We are all treated as imbecile children." - Uncle Aleister
"Church wants you on your place. Kneel, stand, kneel, stand. If you go for that sort of thing, I don't know what to do for you. A man makes his own way. No one gives it to you. You have to take it. "Non serviam."" - Frank Costello, The Departed
"If you listen to a lot of conservatives, they'll tell you that the difference between them and us is that conservatives love America and that liberals hate America. That we 'blame America first'. That we're suspicious of patriotism and always think our country's in the wrong. As conservative radio and TV personality Sean Hannity says, we liberals 'train our children to criticize America, not celebrate it.'
"They don't get it. We love America in a different way. You see, they love America the way a four-year-old loves her mommy. Liberals love America like grown-ups. To a four-year-old, everything Mommy does is wonderful and anyone who criticizes Mommy is bad. Grown-up love means actually understanding what you love, taking the good with the bad, and helping your loved one grow. Love takes attention and work and is the best thing in the world. That's why we liberals want America to do the right thing. We know America is the hope of the world, and we love it and want it to do well. We also want it to do good... It's called honesty. What do you think is more important to a loving relationship: honesty or lies?" - Al Franken
"If you see an ATF agent, shoot first and ask questions later - and don't shoot them in the chest, because they wear bullet-proof vests - go for a head shot." - G. Gordon Liddy
"I'm not a cynic, as other maintain... I'm a romantic... I always have been. As a boy, I was shy and romantic. I became cynical through contact with others, who attacked me for my ugliness, and my candor... They confused my candor with cynicism." - Serge Gainsbourg
"In my experience, those who do not like you fall into two categories: The stupid and the envious. The stupid will like you in five years time. The envious, never." - John Wilmont in The Libertine
"When I was your age they would say we can become cops, or criminals. Today, what I'm saying to you is this: when you're facing a loaded gun, what's the difference?" - Frank Costello, The Departed
"It is forbidden to kill; therefore all murderers are punished unless they kill in large numbers and to the sound of trumpets." - Voltaire
"... You are a sneaking puppy, and so are all those who will submit to be governed by laws which rich men have made for their own security; for the cowardly whelps have not the courage otherwise to defend what they get by knavery; but damn ye altogether: damn them for a pack of crafty rascals, and you, who serve them, for a parcel of hen-hearted numbskulls. They vilify us, the scoundrels do, when there is only this difference, they rob the poor under the cover of law, forsooth, and we plunder the rich under the protection of our own courage." - attributed to Captain "Black Sam" Bellamy
"I like ideas about the breaking away or overthrowing of established order. I am interested in anything about revolt, disorder, chaos, especially activity that seems to have no meaning. It seems to me to be the road towards freedom - external freedom is a way to bring about internal freedom." - Jim Morrison
"War is God's way of teaching Americans geography. " - Ambrose Bierce
"All the meanness, all the revenge, all the selfishness, all the cruelty, all the hatred, all the infamy of which the heart of man is capable, grew, blossomed and bore fruit in this one word, Hell." - Robert Ingersoll
"There is one very serious defect to my mind in Christ's moral character, and that is that he believed in hell. I do not myself feel that any person who is really profoundly humane can believe in everlasting punishment." - Bertrand Russell
"And I'm glad [mushrooms] are illegal. Because you know what happened when I took 'em? I laid in a field of green grass for four hours going, 'My God, I love everything.' The heavens parted, and God rained gifts of forgiveness onto my being, healing me psychically, physically, and emotionally. I realized that our true nature was spirit not body; that it is only an illusion that we are separate from God or that we are alone. The reality is that we are at one with God and he loves us. Now if that's not a danger to society... I mean, how are we gonna keep building nuclear weapons, you know what I mean? What's gonna happen to the arms industry once we realize that we're all one? It's gonna fuck up the economy! The economy that's FAKE anyway!" - Bill Hicks
"I hope you know – I think you do – that all politicians are lying cocksuckers." - Bill Hicks
"I think Congress should take the IRS, handcuff them to a chain-link fence, and flog them with their own damn Tax Code." - James Traficant
"Spread the word I'm thinking of. Have you heard? The word is love!" - John Lennon
"Take away the right to say 'fuck' and you take away the right to say 'fuck the government.'" - Lenny Bruce
"This is rock n' roll, man, and the message is - DO IT!" - The Pink Fairies, "Do It"
"I must create my own system or be enslaved by another man's." - William Blake
"When I tell any truth it is not for the sake of convincing those who do not know it, but for the sake of defending those who do." - William Blake
"Early in my career, I had to choose between honest arrogance and hypocritical humility. I chose the former and see no reason to change." - Frank Lloyd Wright
"Christ did not die for a platypus!" - Bob Larson
"Avoid all needle drugs, the only dope worth shooting is Richard Nixon." - Abbie Hoffman
"I do not want to father a flock, to be the fetish of fools and fanatics, or the founder of a faith whose followers are content to echo my opinions. I want each man to cut his own way through the jungle." - Uncle Aleister
"For 7 1/2 years I've worked alongside him, and I'm proud to be his partner. We've had triumphs, we've made mistakes, we've had sex." - George H.W. Bush on Ronald Reagan
"Facts are stupid things." - Ronald Reagan
"I like to engage in astral perversion, and my fondness is to be sucked off by ring-tailed fruit bats, while engaging in oral-erotic relationships with homosexual aardvarks and bathtubs full of lukewarm jello and late-night motel plate jobs, slurp circles and jello orgies." - Ed Sanders
"Ah, what a cesspool of folly and foolishness, what preposterous fantasies, what corrupt police tactics, what inquisitorial, tyrannical practices! What petty whims of a few higher-ups trampling the nation under their boots, ramming back down their throats the people’s cries for truth and justice, with the travesty of state security as a pretext." - Emile Zola, "J'Accuse"
"I see thee, Woman, thou standest alone, High Priestess art thou unto Love at the Altar of Life. And Man is the Victim therein. Beneath thee, rejoicing, he lies; he exalts as he dies, burning up in the breath of thy kiss. Yea, star rushes flaming to star; the blaze bursts, splashes the skies." - Uncle Aleister
"If the concept of God has any validity or use, it can only be to make us larger, freer, and more loving. If God cannot do this, then it is time we got rid of Him." - James Baldwin, The Fire Next Time
"If you kill yourself then you'll have sunshine all the time. Why, if you kill yourself, you'll party, and the booze, and the drugs, and the sex, oh it'll be great!" - Dr. Fletcher Brothers
"Since we all create our habitual reality-tunnels, either consciously and intelligently or unconsciously and mechanically, I prefer to create for each hour the happiest, funniest, and most romantic reality-tunnel consistent with the signals my brain apprehends. I feel sorry for people who persistently organize experience into sad, dreary and hopeless reality tunnels, and try to show them how to break the bad habit, but I don't feel any masochistic duty to share their misery." - Pope Robert Anton Wilson
"Anyone in a free society where the laws are unjust has an obligation to break the law." - Henry David Thoreau
"'I am that merry wanderer of the night.'? I am that giggling - dangerous - totally - bloody - psychotic - menace - to - life-and-limb, more like it." - Neil Gaiman on one of my folkloric heros, Puck!
"Altruistic Communism will finally annul the brute-force regime completely, for “every man did that which was right in his own eyes.” .. Indeed, there is nothing more humiliating and degrading for a person than being under the brute-force government." - Rabbi Yehuda Ashlag
"In the U.S. you have to be a deviant or exist in extreme boredom... Make no mistake, all intellectuals are deviants in the U.S." - William S. Burroughs
"He who says, "What's mine is mine and what's yours is yours", is the median type, though some say that this is the quality of Sodom. He who says, "What's mine is yours and what's yours is mine", is a simple man. He who says, "What's mine is yours and what's yours is yours", is a pious man ("Hasid"). And he who says, "What's yours is mine, and what's mine is mine", is wicked." (Avot, 5:10)
"Selfishness is not living as one wishes to live, it is asking others to live as one wishes to live." - Oscar Wilde
"It is difficult to produce a television documentary that is both incisive and probing when every twelve minutes one is interrupted by twelve dancing rabbits singing about toilet paper." - Rod Serling
"Anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job." - Douglas Adams
"The more learned and witty you bee, the more fit to act for Satan will you bee." - John Cotton
"When men hire themselves out to shoot other men to order, asking nothing about the justice of their cause, I don’t care if they are shot themselves." —Herbert Spencer
"Coming of age in a fascist police state will not be a barrel of fun for anybody, much less for people like me, who are not inclined to suffer Nazis gladly and feel only contempt for the cowardly flag-suckers who would gladly give up their freedom to live for the mess of pottage they have been conned into believing will be freedom from fear." -- Dr. Hunter S. Thompson, Kingdom of Fear
"There is no "book of Jonah". Your ignorance is only surpassed by your opposition to Christ." - Saint Iguanas (from here)
"Paganism did not die because it was moribund. It was murdered. And it is part of Christianity’s plan to murder the rest of us as well, if not physically, then spiritually. That is their official end-time scenario. Never forget it." - Hrafnkell (from here)
"The vast amount of human activity ought to be none of the government's business. I don't think it is the government's business to tell you how to spend your leisure time. I cannot think there are many people who are in favor of using limited federal resources in law enforcement to arrest people because those people decide to smoke marijuana." - Barney Frank (D-Mass)
"The universities do not teach all things, so a doctor must seek out old wives, gipsies, sorcerers, wandering tribes, old robbers, and such outlaws and take lessons from them." - Paracelsus
"For Paracelsus, as Manly Hall has said, gained his knowledge 'not from coated pedagogues, but from dervishes in Constantinople, witches, gipsies, and sorcerers, who invoked spirits and captured the rays of the celestial bodies in dew; of whom it is said that he cured the incurable, gave sight to the blind, cleansed the leper, and even raised the dead, and whose memory could turn aside the plague.'" - Archibald Cockren, Alchemy Rediscovered and Restored
"Don't give us no sass or we'll kick your ass,
Cause we're the heralds of Crowleymass!
Well you can take your reincarnation, transsubstantiation and your papal kiss
Cause I'm with a beast in beastly bliss
And all I want is copulation!
Oh darling!
And there ain't no grace, there ain't no guilt
Cause this is the law, do what thou wilt!" - David Tibet
"My own opinion is that belief is the death of intelligence. As soon as one believes a doctrine of any sort, or assumes certitude, one stops thinking about that aspect of existence. The more certitude one assumes, the less there is left to think about, and a person sure of everything would never have any need to think about anything and might be considered clinically dead under current medical standards, where absence of brain activity is taken to mean that life has ended." - Pope Robert Anton Wilson
GUNS AND DOPE PARTY POSITION PAPER #23
Little Tony was sitting on a park bench munching on one candy bar after another. After the 6th candy bar, a man on the bench across from him said, "Son, you know eating all that candy isn't good for you. It will give you acne, rot your teeth, and make you fat."
Little Tony replied, "My grandfather lived to be 107 years old."
The man asked, "Did your grandfather eat 6 candy bars at a time?"
Little Tony answered, "No, he minded his own fucking business."
1. Man has the right to live by his own law--
to live in the way that he wills to do:
to work as he will:
to play as he will:
to rest as he will:
to die when and how he will.
2. Man has the right to eat what he will:
to drink what he will:
to dwell where he will:
to move as he will on the face of the earth.
3. Man has the right to think what he will:
to speak what he will:
to write what he will:
to draw, paint, carve, etch, mould, build as he will:
to dress as he will.
4. Man has the right to love as he will:--
"take your fill and will of love as ye will,
when, where, and with whom ye will." --AL. I. 51
5. Man has the right to kill those who would thwart these rights.
"the slaves shall serve." --AL. II. 58
The greatness and the majesty of man, which man has lost; the nobility which man has squandered in pursuit of nothing; the grace and beauty of life as it could be on earth which man has twisted into a grotesque horror of hideous indignity; the peace and harmony of human love, which man has almost totally destroyed for himself; these qualities have died at the hand of one all embracing enemy, one monstrous ogre that devastates all that it touches. They have fallen before the inexorable destroyer; Fear.
Man has offered himself as a sacrifice at the temple of Fear. He has knelt before the shrine and given all. He has made fear his master and patterned his life according to the rules laid down by Fear.
...
And the irony of ironies, that sits like a grinning demon watching the nightmare unfold, It is the fact that man has nothing whatever of which to be afraid — unless he is afraid. Man's fear alone makes him vulnerable. Nothing weakens but Fear; nothing destroys but Fear; nothing undermines but Fear. Without Fear there is no danger; without Fear there is no threat; without Fear there is nothing to Fear.
